Honda Canada
Honda Canada began in 1986 by establishing a manufacturing facility in Alliston, Ontario. It would later add two more.
In addition to producing the award-winning Ridgeline pickup, the Alliston plant is the production centre for the popular Honda Civic, the Acura MDX, as well as the Canadian-exclusive Acura CSX. Honda Canada is the worldwide lead producer of Ridgeline and Civic Coupe.
Employing 5,100 associates, Honda Canada buys $2-billion worth of goods from Canadian-based suppliers every year and supplies products to the U.S., Japan, South America and other parts of the world. Honda is an amazing Canadian success story.
In 2009, Honda celebrated its 40th anniversary in Canada in April 2009, and made its 5-millionth vehicle at its Alliston plant.
